about three-feet actually, but yeah... Based on where he landed he was trying to get up to the next branch, which is about 5 feet up... our hypothesis is that he either jumped, missed, and fell, or tried to scramble up, slipped, and landed head-first on the way down. He was under the tree, and his neck was definitely broken.
