"E90M3" (e90m3)

Currently, I’ve put 12864 miles on it since March 17. The previous owners picked it up on July 22, 2009. On Feburary 11, 2011 they had just 12907 on it.
Looks like I’ve turned someone’s second car into a daily driver. I need to get in touch with the dealer I bought it from and see if I can get in contact with the previous owner so I can see what service items they took care of while it was out of warranty.

How did you put 13k on it in 5 months? Your daily commute must be looong.

It’s like 75 miles round trip. I also made a bunch of weekend trips when I first got the car.

I love my car, but when we bought our house, I actually made significant sacrifices in what I could by to be closer in to work. I won’t live more than a half hour from work. 150 miles a day would do me in.

It’s only like 37.5 each way, that’s why I said round trip. The good news is that since it’s rural interstate/rural highways it takes ~40 mins in the morning and ~45 in the afternoon. It’s really not that bad.

I’m starting to pull in the opposite direction. I only live 9 miles from my office, but the commute is dreadful. Now I’m thinking, shit, may as well throw another 30-45 minutes on and get a larger house in a nicer area further away...?

So when are you getting an E91?

Okay, gotcha. Problem for me is the same distance would be jammed up lots of the way. Sounds like you have kind of a pleasant drive.

I actually moved my work closer to home 10 years ago. Now I only live 5 miles away, and I cut out the gridlocked part. We’ve talked about how we could afford to live out near the lake with a bigger house. Only, now we love our neighbors, and moving is such an expensive pain of its own. A better school district would be good though.

Keep in mind how this might impact you if you have kids or an emergency and need to get home quickly.

We need to get you into a vehicle that will improve your odds.
Have you considered the Paseo convertible?

That won’t fix all my problems, if it did I’d buy said car.

I almost doubled the odometer in a (almost) 1.5 year, I bought it at 47,500kms in June 2016. Today it rolled over 91,000kms.

I put about 20k miles on my 540it in the year that I’ve owned it. Bought it with 174k miles and it now has 194k miles. The funny thing is that my commute was never even that long, only being about 15 miles each way. Ever since I moved it became 7 miles each way. I go on a lot of road trips and I drive pretty far for everything since I live in the ghetto and don’t like to spend any time in my neighborhood.

At my old job, I didn’t drive my personal car for 6 days at a time. Basically all the miles I put on the M3 was either going somewhere or just joyriding.

Weekend joyriding is the best. I put 100 blissful, traffic-free miles on the 540it yesterday, it was wonderful.
