Looks like we’re about to get pretty wet here. Anyway, what’s everyone drinking? I’m sitting here watching Harvey come towards us on WeatherNation with many Rum and Cokes.

Yep. Suburbs just Northwest. Die-trying lives just down the road from me closer to a lake that hopefully won’t flood too bad. DC3 LS is more towards the center of town so he’s probably looking even more rain. I think we’ll be mostly Ok here but inconvenienced by localized floods and power outages. And yes good luck to anyone closer to the coast - it looks very scary there.

the “new” commuter..... had a real nice guy at the valero offer to buy it off me(i politely declined). it runs on just about anything that you can pour in the gas tank above a 50/50 water/fuel mix, and gets 14 mpg.

i am finally getting it past a water contaminated/ separated fuel issue. has been sucking up every bit of rust in the tank, and clogging fuel filters like it was going out of style.

it keeps people from pulling out in front of me. its also thick steel, 6 inch c channel stacked and welded. solid welded to the frame. i feel safe behind it.......

My main, possibly last, regret is not making one last run for junk food and liquor :(

I do have beer and a couple books for when the power goes out though.

There might not be much of anything left in the store anyway. I just got the last of the Premium Unleaded at the Exxon by me and regular was already gone. I’ve got a little 2kW Honda generator. Should keep the fridge going and phones charged. My wife filled an entire drawer in the fridge with wine lol.
