After juggling two canvas bags of a semi-unorganized and cluttered state for the past two years or so, I’ve finally gotten the bike tools under control and it feels so nice.

Kinja'd!!!

Velcro pockets on the left, zipper pouches on the right and top. Fits a whole FSM to boot.

Kinja'd!!!

Rolled with some buckle straps and a nice handle. No rattles and easy to carry!

Picked up a tool roll from the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , (no affiliation) and happily transitioned my collection of bike tools to it. 10oz waxed canvas smells like a tool roll should.

I fix a lot of friend’s bikes so its great to carry everything in one easy package.

Nice collection. I’ve got like 4 or 5 different bottom bracket tools now due to all the standard and brand changes. Now I need a true-vative BB tool to to change out the chain ring on my race face cranks. This is getting a bit ridiculous. I wish SRAM would buy race-face and standardize all that crap.

I gotta get a tool roll. I have a hard plastic case for the shop stuff, and a few of those aluminum pedros briefs for the mobile stuff but I don’t like them.

I spent several weeks considering hard cases, the Park BX-2, retrofitting some old school briefcase, and even buying a few yards of canvas to make my own. I’m pretty happy with this tool roll.

Did I read that right that a tool roll was $100. Holy smokes if so.

Yes, they sell for $100 on the website though I picked it up at show pricing with no shipping. It’s made in Colorado by a husband and wife team/company that sources all of their materials domestically and they offer a no questions lifetime warranty.

I’m very much a believer of “buy once, cry once” and “buy nice or buy twice.” I’m happy to give them a good chunk of change for a proven and tested quality product.

I can respect that. It’s tough to be a small business and compete with what large business (read Amazon) has done to our perception of prices. I fully support supporting locals, but wouldn’t stop me from having a bit of sticker shock.

I’ve never had a use for a rollup tool storage solution, but I might have to find one now. That thing looks great.

I kicked the idea around for an hour. Weighed it between all the $15 rolls i’d seen on amazon and $10 boxes at Home Depot. Fortunately I had the money to plunk down and I haven’t second guessed the decision yet.

It’s really nice and heavy. Holds things well, lots of pockets and pouches, and great for those commonly used go-to tools.
