Fabulous unicorn

While Oppo clearly has talent in terms technology, cars, food, and beer choices; what’s a talent you have that many people don’t know about? I like to draw/color/paint. Three years of art classes in HS are somewhat being put to good use still

Dunno. Every time I think I have a talent I find several of my friends can do it way better.

Most of my “talents” could be better termed “tenacities”.

But since I have to choose... let’s say I’m not too bad at “fake it till you make it”. Yeah that’s pretty sad but it is useful...

I can weld, which might not be a totally surprising skill here on Oppo, but people tend to be like “really???” when they find out. Not a lot of women welders, I guess.

And I like to cross stitch, though I haven’t had time to do any in a LONG time. I keep a half-finished project on my coffee table just in case I’m ever not busy, lol. But, so far, it’s just been collecting dust.

Also, I know a fair bit about football. Enough so that a buddy of mine, who has been officiating for... 35(?) years now (It’s somewhere in the 30s), once asked if I wanted to become an official, too. I think he has more faith in my football knowledge than I do, but it was a nice bit of validation nonetheless.

It might be amazing, but i wouldn’t know. I can only appreciate fantastic art. If art is any better or any worse, i can’t appreciate it at all, in fact i can’t even see it. Your art would just look like a blank whiteboard to me.

Not hard at all. I learned stick welding (oxy-acetylene) and MIG welding as part of a metal sculpture class. It does take some finesse to learn how to lay down a good bead, but it’s not that hard to figure out. But the only way to do it is to practice. If there’s a community college near you, I’d suggest auditing one of their welding classes. It’s fun and knowing how can come in pretty handy sometimes.
