OnePlus 5, the camera is easily the best mobile phone camera on the market, plenty of storage space and unlocked to any carrier

Pixel if you’re feeling like a big spender. OnePlus 5 if you’re up for paying up front. Moto Z if you’re not.

Thanks. I’ve had the Moto recommended to me before.

I’d steer clear of the OnePlus. Get the Pixel.

Google Pixel. Best phone I have ever used.

Personally I would get the Moto Z Play for that epic battery life.

TBH don’t have much phone experience to recommend from but will add that I’ve heard good stuff from people with OnePlus phones.

Given that the OnePlus 5 costs as much as a decent handgun, and the handgun holds its value, I won’t be buying one. Moto Z perhaps, and there is also an iPhone 6 sitting around here that I might try. But I don’t like not having control over my phone...
The big question is whether the Google/Gmail stuff will behave on an iPhone.
The Nexus 5's camera is just not cutting it for me.

If you’re already used to the Nexus experience, just go Pixel or Pixel XL.
It’s not the best phone, but it’s the least bad Android phone. (I personally have a Pixel XL.)
Edit: Actually, if you can wait until October, consider financing a Pixel 2 through Google’s financing.

Camera quality a step up from the N5?

I can’t justify spending that kind of money. If I had $600 to spend, I’d buy a new handgun.

A couple days ago I upgraded from my Droid Razr to a Galaxy S5 and have been pretty happy with it.
I’m also very behind the times in just about everything, so I don’t know what that phone you have is and my suggestion may thus be a downgrade.

LG g6 just went on sale on Tmobile. Great phone. I think the sale is a buy one get one, so you can sell the second and (maybe) break even.

Boy, that looks like a no-brainer. The front camera says 5 MP; I think the front camera on the N5 is only 2.3 MP. And unlocked, and in my price range. Right at my price point.

I have really bummed Google went away with proper pricing and now you need to take a mortgage out to get a new Nexus Pixel.
It also really sucks I got sucked into Google and now I can’t go back to non-Google phones.

I stay back behind the times generally as well. I save a lot of money that way while people buying all of the newest stuff are throwing their money into the Black Hole of Depreciation.

There’s an iPhone 6 sitting around here, 64gb, supposedly in perfect working order. I’ve ordered a super-buff Ballistic case for it and I think I’ll give it a try before I buy something else.

I’ve got an iPhone 6 sitting around here, 64GB, supposedly. I just ordered a Ballistic case for it for $15 and I’ll give it a try before I invest in any other phone. The big question is whether the Google stuff plays well on an iPhone: Gmail, Contacts, Calendar, Drive.
Apple Cloud Whatever = Ohheckno.

I heard an ad on the radio in the garage today about some ‘great’ financing deal... on a new iphone. It’s absurd.

On the one hand. Do not look upon the dark side, they’ll charge you criminal prices for flimsy charging cables. On the other hand, bargains are bargains.

Yeah, and don’t underestimate that 625. It might only be a 600-series Snapdragon, but considering you’re happy with the Nexus 5, it’s way more than enough performance, and the battery is crazy good.

Well if you’ve got one I think the only way to find out is to try it. I think Google and Apple have gotten better over the years, but I don’t think it will ever be as nice as having an Android phone, let alone a pure Google phone.
I may be the only one, but I really can’t even use iOS anymore. I used to have an iPod touch (no idea where it went) and got used to it, but I had also just gotten an HTC Evo 4G (so long ago!). But now that I’ve become so used to Android and navigating its quirks and stopping short of rooting, I think iOS is actually too simple for me to use. I also hate not having a back button.

Pixel. Also, it’s $100 off new straight from Google right now.
I have another burner, try to guess it!

I heard a rumor the next one’s gonna be a grand. I always ask ppl “What can this on do the last one couldn’t?”
The answer is usually more memory. With Samsung you can just buy a bigger SD card lol.

I phone. I’ve been a hater for years on apple stuff, but the thing just plain works. I’ve had all kinds of problems with android stuff, from flagships to go phones. My Iphone SE no problems.

TL;DR: it’s not a Pixel.
