I used to have a bare florescent bulb in a pull chain fixture over my workbench. I replaced it with a 2x2 fixture that was being removed from my office. Now I can see all the things. I only popped the breaker once. Things touched and it left me in complete darkness in the basement. Oops.

I converted all the basement and garage lights to these.

Best thing I ever did.
And in the winter the garage lights come on right way.

thats pretty cool. If i were buying lights i’d go that way but these were heading to the dumpster so it was free. This project was really far down the to-do list but since I got a free fixture I decided to put it up.
