Can get fucked by a rusty chainsaw.

Kinja'd!!!

If me in my half ton quad cab pickup can stay within the lines, you in your MalipalaSSuze can too.

P.S. I like my vehicles to not have dents. If you personally do not mind having traffic next to you dart into the side of your vehicle on a nearly-daily basis that’s fine, then do not comment on this post, okay? There’s enough shitty things going on in the world right now that we don’t need your smart-ass remarks about how you feel about someone else’s situation. If you cannot relate, move on before hitting that reply button and typing something that’s going to make you look stupid.

It amazes me how angry you get about the most minor things in traffic.

I agree it’s important to stay in your lanes, however, being a past truck owner and a few huge sedans (Chrysler 300, Impala etc). It’s way easier in a truck to stay in the lanes.

I can’t explain why, maybe it’s turning radius? but I found it way harder in the sedans which is why I’m looking to get back in a truck/suv.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that lube was allowed.

My previous vehicle was a Mazda 3. It was easier to maintain my lane through the roundabout, and at a much faster pace.

I think it might have more to do with the seating position/pov.

Perhaps you’re more conscious about it in a truck?

Unless you’re driving a big rig and/or trying to squeeze through an alley, there’s usually a generous amount of room. Failing to fit a ~6' wide car through a ~10'-12' wide lane baffles me. If someone seriously cannot stay in their lane under those conditions, should they even be behind the wheel? I mean, that’s super-basic fundamental car control.

Also, to the guy in the Versa sedan from the other day: if I can keep my F150 Supercrew within my lane while turning, don’t cut me off as we’re turning because you couldn’t fit your Versa in your lane.

Somewhat related, I’ve seen 3 people this week make a left hand turn from the right lane on a one way street. I don’t understand. How do you not notice that you’re on a one way. The fucking center line is white, not to mention all the traffic going in one direction.

At some point “Ram Cam” will become literal.

The first roundabout opened the other day in my little town in Nebraska, and people are acting like it’s the end of the world. It’s a huge single lane one, but there were still farmers literally there with tape measures because they swear they won’t be able to get their semi trucks through it. It has the nice semi-friendly curb in the center.

I don’t even want to think about what will happen if we ever get a two lane one.

A Mazda 3 is easy to keep in the lines. Try a luxobarge like an Impala. It’s VERY different from most cars.

I used to think so but as another poster pointed out I think it may be seating position.

I think you’re right, that really does explain it. It’s way easier for me to know where the ends of a truck are than a 300 or an Impala.
