My God, it’s amazing. I forgot who Mario was because I was such a huge Sonic fan in the late 80s/early 90s. This feels like such a true sequel, compared to the shit Sonic Team and Sega have been shoveling since 1995. Figures all Sega had to do was give the reigns so a couple fan-modders to get it done right. The graphics, the gameplay, the music, the easter eggs and puns in this game... Oh, I need a cigarette.

I’ve heard Sonic was created to show off the superior frame rate of the Genesis vs Nintendo. It really does give you the sensation of going fast - even the original. And man some of those levels are hard.

Sonic didn’t exist in the late 80s, but sure, I have fond memories playing Sonic games on the Dreamcast - we need a proper sequel to those games now.

I waited until today to download it on my Switch since I’m flying today and figured a new game would help pass the time. You’re right it is awesome. It really does feel like whatever a sequel to S&K on Genesis would’ve been. Only on the 3rd zone so far after my first flight but tons of fun. The mean bean machine threw me for a loop. I knew what to do but man you have to work fast to avoid getting beat.
