Stuff that “just needs a starter” or just needs [insert trivial and mostly affordable part] always sketches me out. Everyone knows it would sell for a lot more money as a running and functioning car. $150 for a cheap starter and an hour or two to put it in would be such a huge ROI, why not do it unless it’s hiding something else?

yeah if all it truely needs is a starter and the dude already admitted that he got it for free you could probably come in with an offer of 1k and have a nice LeMons machine

Then again, could be a killer deal if it really is just a starter.

If you don’t have the title, then I’m not buying it. 25+ yo old car with no title seems like a bad idea.

So many questions a mechanic would have to answer first.

Misspelled but close enough. I still picture a giant shrimp whenever I hear the word “camaro”

Yeah, that or it is an extra car and the Autozone guy told them a starter and they have no mechanical ability for that?

That’s just a front I put up. TBH, if I pop the trunk and there are no blood stains, I’ll get my wallet.

Nice! I could bring it back to Illinois, and then the California DMV could piss off. This would be an excellent LS/T56 swap candidate.
Of course there’s the reality of the fact I got ‘bout tree-fiddy on me ...

I don’t want to change the spark plugs on a turbo big-block 3rd gen Camaro, but I wouldn’t judge somebody who does!

You don’t have to change spark plugs. That is a myth perpetrated by the patriarchy to keep women from working on cars....
HA, I have no idea why that popped in my head, but yeah it would be a bit of a pain but totally worth it! Better than a big block turbo 4th gen *shutters*

Oh yeah, I think you’d just have to burn a turbo big block 4th gen to the ground when it came time to change its plugs!
