Tossing this out there, anyone want a nice manual IS300? I’ve got it listed for $7700, which is consistent with other cars like it nationwide. Heck there are only

including

. (
EDIT
, make that THREE, the Honda dealer in CA erronoously called theirs a manual) It’s also on
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
, because why not? More pictures on those sites linked above. Don’t tell DeMuro I didn’t list it on Autotrader.
It’s a 2002, 138K miles, new tires, new HKS Drager II exhaust (nice burble, it’s actually a bit quieter than I expected/hoped), timing belt done at 94K miles. It has the typical “sticky dash” like many cars of the era, other than that the interior is in good shape. Exterior has some marks as a 15 year old car would.
Located in Northern Virginia, happy to meet up with another Oppo and let you check it out. No rush to sell, car is in great shape. Let me know if you have any questions.

Will you take half that in cash and the other half in my hopes/dreams?

If the way I’ve read about how to check (sticker on the door sill) is correct, than no I don’t think it does.

Send me your resume, if I think your hopes and/or dreams look like they may pay out one day, I may invest...

Truthfully, it’s just wishful thinking. My wife has not come around to the idea of 3 cars and that’s not likely to have changed since trading in a fuel efficient car for a gas hog

No worries, I’m always car shopping. Whether I can actually buy something or not! haha

Too bad you are on the wrong coast otherwise I’d think about it. Im moving out to California in October and looking for a daily once I get there eventually. Although dailying my Miata should be pretty easy there, it would be nice to have something additional thats still fun.

I’m in Richmond. Just shared with a bunch of people. I hope one of them hops on it!

Best way to tell is using the VIN plate in the engine bay. Can you take a good pic showing the bottom line with all the codes?

Don’t have it here at work with me today. I’m pretty sure we checked when we had it up on the lift to install the exhaust. And we were fairly certain that it was non-LSD unfortunately. I’ll happily post a pic though!

haha yep! I saw a dash posted up in Baltimore that looked non-sticky. If I wasn’t selling maybe.

There’s tons of videos about potential fixes. I’ll get around to it someday. Can’t make it look any worse so no fear.

I was pleased to find out that this dash problem wasn’t just common, but nearly inevitable. I love everything else about the car.

Yeah but I’ll be crossing the 200k mark shortly after driving there (if not while on the way) and I have about a 70 mile round trip commute lined up. No traffic on the route at least and I have the option to route through some mountains for only a 15 minute delay so I will definitely take the Miata often. But I imagine having something else to rely on and to take skiing and stuff would be ideal.

I didn’t even know those came with manuals. A shame they sold so few here

Probably would’ve taken this about a year ago. Love me some NA straight 6. Why are you selling out of curiosity?

I basically bought it to write about, got some enjoyment out of it, now it’s time to send it along to someone else.

I ended my used car search literally yesterday and was looking at is’es. A little too much coin for me since I was looking at high mileage automatics but still a great car.

tempting, but only 2 things wrong with it
1. steering wheel on the wrong side
2. it’s on the wrong side of the world
