...for the first time in about a month. Three cheese enchiladas. And queso. And some beans. And guac.

Good to shock your metabolism occasionally while dieting.

I’ve been in a plateau for a couple of weeks, so I knew I had to do it. I just didn’t expect to be burping this much, or have this much nausea.

Mostly the burping, though.

Not highly likely, but not highly improbable, either.

I should probably get my wife to get me those, as she’s in CVS right now.

Still, we’ll hold a candlelight vigil for you just in case.

I appreciate it. Cater it with Tex-Mex, because irony.

My lunch usually consists of two tablespoons of mayo, half tablespoon of olive oil, and four ounces of tuna. I CAN’T STOP BURPING.

Back whenI was dieting, my diet guy said, “Stick with your diet for six days, and eat whatever the hell you want on the seventh day.”

I’m down a significant amount of weight, but I try not to cheat this bad. Tonight, I just went crazy. The regret was almost immediate.

Don’t worry, if you have been eating clean for a long time I imagine that kind of meal will go right through you. Sometimes a cheat meal is what you need to get over a plateau.

Yes, I have been eating clean (no grains, no sugar, calorie counting) since March with very few cheat meals. And yes, most of that meal is, uh, gone. The sodium definitely stayed, though!

I never understood the no grains thing. Rice is a perfectly acceptable complex starchy carbohydrate.

I’m just using the discipline to cut down on carbs, to be honest. I’ll get in about 40 grams of carbs per day, and try to eat as much fiber in those grams as possible.

Can I explain the no grains fad? Nope. When I get to my goal weight, I’ll start eating brown rice and some oats. I’m not married to that way of dieting at all.
