Near me a couple of the Halloween express stores have already opened. The sheer boredom you can see on the employees’ faces when you look through the window proves it’s too early.

I’m just getting around to lighting off the remainder of my fireworks form the 4th of July. I was at target on Saturday, can confirm this shit is starting to creep in.

Two months in advance is good right. I mean that’s when we start playing Christmas music. I suppose the rest of the holidays just got jealous

Picked up a neat owl on top of a jack o’ lantern ceramic heavy thing for the front porch, and a owl-themed HOOT’S THERE? autumn door mat as well. Wife loves owls, and Halloween. So I scored big.

Now she hopes its fall soon, and wants to start decorating already.

Its her favorite season and its been kinda cool out lately so I get it.

No joke, one of my neighbors has had their Christmas lights hanging outside since, well, Christmas. They still turn it on some nights.

Giant Eagle near me has their candy out already. Why bother? If you buy it now it’s going to be gone by Halloween next week.

Yep. Went to get groceries yesterday and my local Kroger had Halloween stuff out. I briefly wondered if I had badly lost track of the date.

I’d still rather see this than back to school stuff. Been done with school for 5 years and it still makes me uncomfortable.

I’d rather Halloween become a year round thing than Christmas (which is on it’s way to becoming year round). Ideally, though, neither should start as early as they seem to.

It’s never too early to have ‘All I want for Christmas is you’ on repeat in every store.

I wouldn’t hate Christmas music if there was new music. But you grow tired of a song hearing it for two months of the year, every year. Now I do love Christmas. At the very least it’s an excuse for you to gather with people you like and eat far too much. But I could do without the music.

Well, they took shorts and bathing suits out of stores in May, Back to School stuff went out in June, so August is clearly Halloween. Which means Christmas rolls out in September.

Forget July 4th and Thanksgiving, those holidays don’t happen.
