Once again, more pictures from Toronto’s C&C event held at Engineered Automotive, this time, at night in a light on/off drizzle. I held off bringing out my camera until towards the end because of the rain, but still caught a few of the more memorable cars at the event. I struggled a little bit with proper camera settings, especially with the first few, due to a slow SD card.
(Edited on a Mac computer at school, and turned out a little darker than expected on my laptop, but still pleased with the results.)
Corvette chassis “Mustang”, a little dark on this one...
Japanese V12!
Anyone know what this is?

Or a TR8, if it is a v8.

Rare Abarth Zagato double bubble in the shop. Not fast but fun. My uncle had one back in the day.

A very classy machine, no doubt. The interior was gorgeous red leather. All the details make the car for me, the badging, stitching, woodwork, etc. Must be a nice car to sit in and cruise while appreciating all the work that went into it.

I had an 850 Spider back in the early 70's during the gas crisis. A cam and exhaust may have bumped the horsepower a bit to maybe 65 or so. Both that Abarth and the 850 were about 16 sec 0-60 but cornered well. I know the Spider was just over 1600 lbs. I got over 40 mpg in the Fiat and we had a Jeep Wagoneer plus a Marauder X100 that both sucked fuel. I drove the Fiat a lot during the fuel rationing times.

I’d love to get a chance to drive something slow and lightweight and put it through it’s paces in some twisties....

Whats that saying about more fun driving a slow car fast than driving a fast car slow?

Love the rainbows on the second shot! Would you be able to tell me what camera settings you had when taking these? They seem quite bright in comparison. (What’s your aperture limit?) My pics were kind of all over the place and I DO NOT like ISO noise (why my pictures are basically pitch black ;)

Unintentional rain drop flare will do that aha. Night shoots are always tough since you have to slow down the shutter a lot and shoot wide open. Would have been a lot easier with the 50mm 1.8 but I left that at home, so I only had my 16-70 f4. Working in post also brings back a lot of light.

I’m assuming you have image stabilization? (I do). I don’t think I’ve shot with that slow a shutter speed but I’ll have to try it out.
