A protege5? Good luck they have most likely all rusted away by now
I bought a brand new 2003 and in less than a year i had rust under the rust proofing

They’re really cool cars. Still aren’t hard to find out in NYC, and have retained value unusually well.

Lately I’ve been seeing yellow protege5 wagons EVERYWHERE. it’s like we went from zero to 20 in the space of a few months. Same with the Mercedes R-class strangely enough... A few AMG versions too

Mine was silver
The yellow and red were too flashy for me. I wanted the blue, but none in stock when i bought it so gray it was. Funny cause in 2010 i wanted a silver sx4, but the only manual my dealer had was a blue one. So i bought it blue.

About 4 years ago I pulled over to look at a MazdaSpeed Protege that was for sale by owner. Orange it had the big wing, I thought “yeah that could be fun. I gotta check it out.”
Nope nope nope it had more rust than the 91 Civic I was driving at the time.
