I’ve been camping in Big Sur since Monday and have reemerged back into civilization.... The first news article I see when reaching cell service is that Guam is handing out pamphlets on what to do if North Korea hits them with a nuclear weapon - as they promised to do.
This must be what it’s like waking up from a coma and finding out it’s not 2017 anymore.
I’ve also noticed that one of my neighbors must be a busybody that doesn’t care for my Corvette. I’ve found the same tire half flat for the second time now. It’s where I park it to avoid street cleaning if I’m away for a few days as it’s all Thursday/Friday most everywhere in my hood. I figured I must have picked up a nail the first time but nah this is someone who doesn’t like my car parked on their block, across the street, unless it’s the minister of the church I’m parking next to. I’m not even in front of a house.
Luckily I have a pump handy for the tire, which I’ll use someday. I’m gonna leave the car where it is so that they can continue to enjoy it. Zero fucks given. If you don’t like it parked where it is making it hard to move won’t exactly further your agenda. Just be glad I’m not filling my tires with mustard gas at this point.

Welcome back to Cloud Cuckoo Land. Trump is talking about military action against Venezuela, too.

Could it be a bad valve stem or bead seal?
That reminds me, I need to get my wife’s (winter) tire and rim fixed. Similar symptoms - it would leak air if she parked it just the right way.

WTF did Venezuela do? Last I heard they were off doing their own thing, getting pissed off at their government.

Nothing directly to us, but they are hurtling towards a dictatorship. Can’t have that, can we?

We better run in and destabilize them before that happens! /s

They’re unstable enough. A sham election elected a rubber stamp congress to change the constitution and give the president sweeping new powers. Their economy is in the dumper, rivaling our Great Depression. Anybody voicing dissent is getting arrested. It’s pretty bad.

They’re already destabilized. We wouldn’t make it better, but it probably wouldn’t get *that* much worse - at least, until we tried to leave, at which point, the narco gangs would just take over.

It’s what I hope is the problem and the road does have a ton of camber right at that spot but I have a few trashy neighbors and more than a few busybodies. I had someone leave a note on my BMW one time letting me know that the curb is red and the next time I park there “Ticket!”
The curb isn’t red. The red the city painted on the curb ends and someone added to the red with a rattle can. It’s Smallville.

If I had to put a number on it, I’d say there about a <10% chance NK follows through and starts a war.
Donny J can’t attack them, because China will intervene (and he’s smart enough to realize would be bad for business), and if they attack us, China is going to keep out of it (Kim knows he’s going to be screwed if he actually stabs the bear, but he can keep poking it with no consequence). So nothing will really happen here.
It’s all posturing by Kim to maintain control of his people. China allow it to continue as long as it is keeping the regime stable and orderly.

It was a bit of a joke at just going in and removing the government and creating a power vacuum.

Sounds like a fair assessment.
Still, I’d feel a lot better if Trump had a hotel or two in either Guam or South Korea.

That’s what I was joking at. If you just remove a government and create a vacuum who knows what will come and fill the vacuum.

Yeah, we’ve pretty much become experts at that. Everybody needs a skill.

Always fun to see what you can hoover up. We found some really interesting stuff last time.

It sounds like the bead seal problem I had once, like Bacon mentioned. I hope it is.

I had a moment to meet the folks who live across from where I parked. Clearly not them as the wife was a little too eager to say how much she likes the car right in front of her husband — to where it felt a touch awkward. They were super sincere though and said the old lady who lived next door would call the police in a second if I was blocking her driveway but couldn’t care less who parked across the street. So no suspects.
The thing is I found it this low before, drove it to and on the track for two days. Then two weeks later I’m at autocross where I paid even more attention to PSI’s. Then a week later I park it and five days later it’s gone from 36 to 9.8?
I need new tires all the way around (based on both track and ax experiences — whee another spin!) so I might never know the answer unless the new tire holds fine until parked at that same spot.... Then I’m off to the hunting store for a motion activated hunting camera and see who shows up in my wheel well I guess?

That might be worth the investment if it reveals who you target for revenge.

Less complicated than buying polonium as well.

I think Kim Jung Un definitely has a bad seal and a blown “head” gasket. Wait, what were we talking about?

Just be ready to go as far as it takes. Maybe posting video on Facebook? Show the video to all the neighbors so they are all aware.
