Interesting, I didn’t know that they did that thing.
There’s a part of me that wants, if the Super GT Prius falls out of homologation (the moment it does that, its successor is required to be front engine due to the base model being front-engine), for Toyota to take the Gen 4 Prius, and basically do that conversion to it as a homologation special.
As far as I can tell, what they did was take a Highlander Hybrid/RX 450h, put its engine and transmission in the back, and put the rear motor in the front. Boom, hybrid AWD mid-engine sports car.
