Red Green is more of a sketch show than a sitcom.

I am too blinded by rage to make this distinction.

Still can’t get Letterkenny down here, don’t ruin the new season before I can get back to Canada.

That’s a sketch comedy, it is brilliant.

I suspect I’m too far south to understand any of this ... the Daisy Dukes are appreciated, however.

Hmm, out of curiosity I looked up a sitcom and technically the Red Green Show is a sitcom.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sitcom
sitcom , is a genre of comedy centered on a fixed set of characters who carry over from episode to episode. Sitcoms can be contrasted with sketch comedy , where a troupe may use new characters in each sketch,
So even though there are different cutaways, the characters don’t change, thus Red Green is a sitcom.
Huh, TIL.

I loved Corner Gas, and I really want to see Letterkenny, since what I’ve seen of it is right up my alley.

Seems everyone wins today,
Wikipedia says
“
The Red Green
Show is essentially a cross between a sitcom and a sketch comedy series”.

I’ve not seen Letterkenny and am not a fan of the Trailer Park Boys (though it is filmed here in Nova Scotia and in Newfoundland!), But I definitely agree with Corner Gas...I love me some Corner Gas!

I live about 40minutes south of where LetterKenny is based (Listowel, On). Can confirm, this is not a sitcom, but a documentary.

After watching Letterkenny I might have started using the phrase “Pitter patter, let’s get at ‘er” in actual conversation.

And here I thought this was a well-known phrase. I don’t watch Letterkenny.
Granted I do live in Canada. Canuck thing?
