Porsches do nothing for me. I can appreciate their performance and engineering but I have no aspirations to ever own one.

Porsches I’d like to own or drive: 914, 924, 944, 968, 928, Boxster Spyder. And perhaps a 930. So yeah, I kinda get you.

I feel the same about the Veyron, and the Porsche I most want to drive is the 914... right with you

I probably wouldn’t say no if someone tried to give me a 959 but that’s about it.

Only if it came with a mechanic.

Nah, just drive it until it breaks and sell it. Even non-running it would sell for more than I hope to earn in a decade.

How can you not love this:

I do want one. But it seems unlikely that I could afford one if the price bubble for air cooled stuff doesn’t soon burst. One street legal 935 replica for me please.

I have a strange thing for 944's; maybe it’s because my mom’s boyfriend had one and he didn’t take care of it. Or it could be because I had a 280zx when my mom’s boyfriend had his Porsche, and I like grand-touring hatchbacks.
Whatever.
I will admit to liking the Macan and the Cayenne, but not really giving a shit about 911's. Magnus Walker-Singer-RWB-hipsters I don’t give a shit.

That’s how I feel about Ferrari. I just don’t have any interest aside from the 456 for some odd reason.

I need to drive one to have any opinion on them, but I’m not drawn to them in any particular way. My wife is, but thankfully she’s of the...frugal...stock so no worries there.

How dare you post this take with the sexiest Porsche bodystyle.
![]() 08/09/2017 at 11:38 |

I wish someone would make a car that does everything a Porsche does, but isn’t a Porsche. ‘LOOK AT ME EVERYONE, I HAVE MONEEEEEEY’ is what they’re mainly used for where I live.

I feel that way about Bugattis. I do like porsches though, and I have a serious want for a Cayman GT4(not that I’ll ever have the money for it).

I have no words for you sir....
But I do have pictures

You don’t wanna die in a car fire. That’s a pretty good reason. The company itself is also really scummy.

I thought this was the sexiest Porsche body style.

good, one less person who will raise the prices even more

Hotter hot take: Only the water-cooled 911's interest me.

I’m with ya there. I can’t afford one, so I tend to forget about them completely.
Though I would love a Boxter Spyder. Or even a Boxter now that they’re getting close to what I’d pay for an old sports car.

Love my 2007 Cayman, in 65k miles (other than maintenance) the only thing that’s gone wrong was the water pump. Reliable and a lot of fun to drive!

The stanceworks watermark makes it doubly meh.

I never disputed that they were good cars, I just don’t care tor them.

Those are words.

I appreciate the engineering and heritage but can’t under stand the mental gymnastics of the oil cooled 911 prices. I wanted one when I was little but dudebros have jacked up the market price. 996s still scare me cause IMS bearing. plastic fantastic Corvette is the dream car for me in the long run.
![]() 08/09/2017 at 12:36 |

Do these cars do nothing for you?
Plus there’s all the crazy cars they’ve developed for other companies, like the Mercedes 500 E, Audi RS2 Avant and Volkswagen B32. If you’re into sleepers, you’d naturally thank Porsche for that.
So there you go, they aren’t just sporty Beetles.

Yeah, the whole “we decide if you’re good enough to buy our product” has always annoyed me.

Yawn.

I’m not on the air-cooled 911 bandwagon especially with how absurd prices are. The 944 Turbo is one of my favorite cars ever, and I love how the 928 looks. I sometimes think about getting a 996 turbo for (relatively) cheap.
![]() 08/09/2017 at 13:05 |

I feel the same way. They’re great cars, just not for me.

Porsche puts the P in peoPle’s car.

MORE FOR ME

I used to hate Porsches. I think it was because of their ownership group, and my proletariat nature. But then I drove one....
Now my dream car is a slant nose 911 Turbo. After driving one I can’t think of anything else I’d spend money on. *If I had that kind money.

doesn’t help that their values have jumped to the extreme :/
The best Porsche is the 914

I feel this way about Mercedes, BMW, and Audi. Also most Ferraris

Audis don’t interest me either.
