My question about Phoenix is how, back as America was expanding westward, did somebody get to where Phoenix is now and say, “Let’s stop here!” They must have gotten there in January.

It used to be a winter only town, then AC got really good and people started to live there year around. I’m on the nope train as far as Phoenix is concerned.

Pretty much how Florida started. Henry Flagler’s railroads, hotels, and promotional efforts in the Northeast, and the advent of A/C all occurred around the same time. And the rest is history.
