Stopped for breakfast this morning at a diner that’s been in business since 1947. The Corvair is always parked out front, and I doubt that it runs. The car was originally white, and it appears to have been refinished in yellow house paint.

I wonder how long it has been in constant service. Has it been operating 24 hours a day since 1947? I’m sure there must have been some breaks, but what’s their longest streak?

Wow. I can’t tell you how many times I have eaten there back in the early 90s
It’s not that I don’t
want
to tell you, I honestly don’t remember most of them.

My cousins live right near there, always wanted to check it out but never did. I enjoy classic diners, but every one of them on the Eastern Shore seems to suck.
