I like the high-profile tires. I don’t like the rubber bands that pass as tires nowadays.

Ew.

This one would be early 70s, tail end of the first gen., if Wiki is to be believed. I’m not a Ford guy or a Mustang guy, but I’d drive that one. Happily.

it all depends on what you are doing with the car. if it is a garage queen, that never goes anywhere, except on the smoothest of roads rubber bands are fine, and look spectacular. but if you enjoy driving down all kinds of rough road, and handling is a bit of a priority those meaty sidewalls sure are nice......

Right, but isn’t the Bug supposed to be AWD and have Deep Launch?

no. the bug, is JUST a v8, manual 4speed car, with a narrowed 9inch ford rear differential on a 4link rear suspension. 2wd.

the model T is going to be the v8, manual 4speed, awd, 361 cu in sbc(with lightweight guts), weighing in at just around 1700 lbs. with the calculations i have run(online calculators are great) it should be able to JUST outrun the brand new dodge demon through the 1/4 mile at a shade under 9.60.......traction permitting.......
