Photo stolen from the internet
But the lack of bagged milk here makes me sad.
I am a sad man today.

Bag all the drinks?
![]() 08/04/2017 at 12:10 |

I mean, juice pouches are just fancy bags, so absolutely.
![]() 08/04/2017 at 12:12 |

I wonder how much you’d have to shake a juice pouch filled with a carbonated beverage to make it explode?

Bagged water and bagged milk are literally two of the things I miss most from Colombia.

This looks like a job for science.

I was quite happy to find milk in regular cartons in montreal, bagged milk makes me uncomfortable
![]() 08/04/2017 at 12:15 |
|
But it’s so squishy.
![]() 08/04/2017 at 12:15 |

i thought all canada had bagged milk,
![]() 08/04/2017 at 12:16 |
|
That’s.....yeah, exactly lol. Part of why it makes me uncomfortable
![]() 08/04/2017 at 12:18 |
|
The fuck?! Why would you bag milk? Just buy it in a non plastic cartoon like the rest of the world and then recycle it.
![]() 08/04/2017 at 12:18 |
|
Nope. And it upsets me.
![]() 08/04/2017 at 12:18 |

That kind of attitude gave the world this:
Booze in a pouch, for adults who haven’t grown up past Capri Sun.

To be fair, a lot of drinkers shouldn’t be trusted with glass bottles. Or glasses.
![]() 08/04/2017 at 12:20 |
|
for our american and western canadian friends then
![]() 08/04/2017 at 12:20 |
|
Because then you have bagged milk.
Fun fact: recycling milk cartons is a new thing to Saskatchewan.
![]() 08/04/2017 at 12:24 |

On the other hand, making it easier to hold a drink makes it more difficult to determine when a person should call it a night and go home.
![]() 08/04/2017 at 12:25 |

They take up less space in the recycling bin, you can wash them & reuse them.

True story: my coworker was pumping during the day for her baby. Walks to my doorway holding two bags of milk. Asks if I’m ready for lunch. Awkward silence follows. Now I have kids too and boobs don’t scare me so we had a good laugh and went and got some tacos.

This is the funniest thing I’ve read this morning.
![]() 08/04/2017 at 12:30 |

Bagged milk?! You see, this is why Canada isn’t a US state. You guys pull shit like this.
![]() 08/04/2017 at 12:31 |
|
Thank goodness. I’d hate to be American.
![]() 08/04/2017 at 12:31 |
|
You can do that with bottles.
![]() 08/04/2017 at 12:31 |
|
This pretty much sums up my reading of this post and comments...
![]() 08/04/2017 at 12:34 |

EEEWWWWWW, no. Reuse a plastic bag? No thank you. You don’t break down your milk cartoons?
![]() 08/04/2017 at 12:35 |
|
You need to provide some kind of vent because otherwise the pressure inside the bag will keep it from bubbling.
![]() 08/04/2017 at 12:35 |
|
But why would you want it bagged?!
Really? Did they burn it before?
![]() 08/04/2017 at 12:35 |
|
Because it’s tradition. Doesn’t make much sense, but hey, it works.
I have no clue.
![]() 08/04/2017 at 12:37 |
|
But it doesn’t work well
![]() 08/04/2017 at 12:37 |
|
I’ve very rarely had problems with it. Works great.
![]() 08/04/2017 at 12:39 |

Just as a heads up, I dismissed your other comment since it’s got a picture of a carton of milk plowing a bag in it. That’s probably against the guidelines.
![]() 08/04/2017 at 12:40 |

Those pouches are laughably weak though.
![]() 08/04/2017 at 12:43 |

I just can’t fathom why you would bag it, then place the bag in a pitcher when you can get milk in its own pitcher. I just can’t understand it. I mean if it was like soda mix and you put it in a weird fountain drink dispenser fine whatever, but just the way you have it makes no sense. How did bagged milk even start?
That was probably a smart thing to do
![]() 08/04/2017 at 12:49 |

People drink milk?
![]() 08/04/2017 at 12:54 |
|
Another reason to mock them mercilessly.
![]() 08/04/2017 at 12:57 |

Apparently it’s lighter and less fragile for transport.
Just doing what I can to help.
![]() 08/04/2017 at 12:59 |

huh weird. Damn Canadians ;)

Never had booze in a pouch that wasn’t the bottom of the barrel as far as quality. I bet that “Sangria” is gross
![]() 08/04/2017 at 13:12 |
|
There does not exist a Gasolina drink-in-a-pouch that doesn’t punch through the bottom of the barrel in an attempt to become antipodean.

Can you recycle milk bags? Milk jugs have a deposit.
I’d much rather have a package you can close properly when you’re done with it for the day. Cartons and bags don’t do that.
![]() 08/04/2017 at 13:27 |
|
Probably not.
Eh, it worked fine for me for my entire life.
![]() 08/04/2017 at 13:30 |

I’m good at knocking things over. Also you can’t store open topped things sideways in the fridge either.
![]() 08/04/2017 at 13:48 |

What bagged milk should look like.
![]() 08/04/2017 at 13:58 |

I would have had to make it more awkward for her and ask how fresh it was, wether it’s been frozen or not? Then explain how frozen breast milk ruins the hidden flavor. Then say something to the effect of how what the mother eats changes the flavor and how you can actually get get a buzz after the mother drinks alcohol.
Then she’d likely never talk to me again, or like you said, we’d go get tacos.

Every time I go back home I realize how much I miss bagged milk. My wife was very surprised to learn about the existence of such a marvel of technology.
![]() 08/04/2017 at 15:48 |

They tried doing bag milk by me in the 90s, but it didn’t take off at all. I remember my mom bringing it home with the weird pitcher you need. I get that it uses a lot less plastic per container, but a jug is just so much more convenient.
![]() 08/04/2017 at 17:09 |

Surprisingly, some elementary schools in california do have bagged milk and I’m okay with it, but only because they are small one use only bags.
![]() 08/04/2017 at 21:40 |

I was in PEI and wtf? No bags! I did find some Natural type shot in bags, but everything else was 4L jugs. My wife was carrying two of them so you know what I HAD TO say...
![]() 08/05/2017 at 19:01 |

I have never seen that. Is there some sort of clip to keep it closed? You get it that way at a normal grocery store?
![]() 08/05/2017 at 19:02 |
|
I mean, you can get a clip if you’d like. But you normally just clip the corner with a pair of scissors and that’s that.
