“Not a hack job” -RIGHT. And what’s up with the ‘not looking to sell’, he’s only considering trades?

Please don’t apply logic to the man who did this.

Kinja'd!!!

Only every single time I’ve wanted it to be an SC/Rambler! So that’s about one time. Just now.

That distributor is comically huge. It dwarfs the air cleaner.

You make an excellent point there, my bad. :)

Every time. Even as a child, eyeing grandma’s blue (with white landau) ‘76 Ghia, I thought, “this thing sucks, it needs a big engine and a scoop.”

In some ways I kind of buy the “not a hack job” thing. The engine bay looks dirty and dated but not atrocious in build quality

but

The hood SCREAMS hack. I have never seen a fiberglass hood added to a steel hood that was not on a butcher job. It’s even unpainted to complete the look.

Edit: Side profile shot looks good and the scoop is painted. Still though, that front pic...

I’m no good at identifying carbs, but that itty bitty air cleaner is just adorable! lol

SC/Rambler is hot. Mustang II with a mailbox glued to the hood and a 460 is not.

Damn that is impressive.

Agree 100% - it was the hood that prompted my comment. It looks terrible. Underhood just looks like it was done a long time ago and not cleaned up since then. And I *do* like the idea of all the cubes in that thing (albeit it’s 1 pedal short for me). But I wouldn’t want anything to do with a Mustang II in general, though.

That huge scoop is completely unnecessary in every way.

The air cleaner to distributor ratio is way out of wack.

But it’s tacky in exactly the right way.

I don’t doubt that they have hood clearance issues. But something like that seems excessive as a solution.

Yeah they could probably do with one that’s a foot or two shorter.

Will’s outfit matches the Scrambler.

Cowl induction probably would have done it. Even ‘glassed on. Still not a deal breaker depending on price.
