I work at a local, small town car dealership. A few years ago, the OE told us we had to renovate, or else! We didn’t, we’re still here. However, a couple weeks ago some severe weather came in and Dorothy’d our roof. Toto is fine. Back a few years ago when the OE was forcing us to go through this process they sent people here to measure the building to the exact dimensions and create CAD drawings. Both before and after renovation. Fast forward to this week and I am modifying those drawings for the remodeling we will be doing since the roof was forcibly removed.
The CAD drawings are junk. Utter, useless, should have just started over instead of modifying, JUNK. I have spent the better part of the last 3 days changing wall thicknesses, getting exact exterior dimensions (they were off by feet. FEET!) and moving walls to make it work. If your only job is to measure and be precise so that accurate drawings can be created and you failed miserably, I suggest you find a different career. Also, fuck you.

This is one proper door clusterfuck going on here. I’d suggest changing the one circled in red to a left hand swing... you KNOW people are going to keep leaving the middle door open. If you swap the swing and the one in the middle gets left open at least it won’t stop you from opening the door.
Alternately keep the circled door as a right hand, but swing it out instead of in. Mirror the effect on the door across from it. Just my $0.02
EDIT: Just noticed, that looks like a hallway there (cut off at the top). I guess that make my first suggestion impractical... Still prefer the second to what’s drawn currently though, but that’s just me

Even those doors aren’t drawn right. They aren’t as big as they say they are and they don’t open that way. Thankfully, that area doesn’t get a whole lot of use.

I was working at a small town dealership yesterday. They are renovating.
Our finished product: bare floor. To the right was all the IT racks and stuff. It had so much dust from all the demo work going on. They going to have problems.
And today I have to go work ata post office, 3 hours away, start at 5 pm. Damnit.

I’m dealing with cinder block walls and such as well. I am moving my entire network into a sealed room soon. Oh, I get to do that myself too.

That wall that got cut out and they put up a lentle that was like 10' long. And then to the left was same thing, another 10' cut out. Pretty crazy.

Many years ago before I was born and dirt was new they did that here. Added a cinder block addition to a cinder block building. The net result was some seriously (15") thick walls!

Just wanted to thank you for the carfax you helped me with when I found and bought my car last February. It’s been a great car for me so far. My back is significantly better now that I’m not driving my old Crown Vic (broken seats and bad suspension). It’s the first car I bought myself and I needed all the money I had at the time to go towards the purchase (commuting college student with low paying job). It was really helpful and nice of you to fun the carfax for me.
Thank you and I wish you the best of luck with everything!

Absolutely! Happy to help! I’m not here a lot but I come here because of the great people and the community they form. So glad everything worked out and that you’re doing better! Pay it forward when you can!
