On the new one the center thingy is a dome, not flat like this. Also the rotor was really corroded, but I couldn’t get the camera on my phone to focus on it.
Maybe this’ll even help with the pinging (I did this for the 175k maintenance) but I’m not really sure how a weak spark would cause pinging.

It might not have caused a weak spark, just added wear on the coil pack as it tried to increase voltage all the time.
