Things I’d rather be doing:

Things I’m doing: renovations drawings for a nursing home.

I’m hoping to get out of here early so I can go for a ride. The new trail has a nice chicane. Its a little hairy cuz if you come in too hot its either a beach ball sized rock or a tree. I love the new trails. They are pretty easy but higher speed. I really feel like a rally car blasting down a stage.

I remember last year there was like 6 other people with this birthday so happy birthday to you guys too. Post the things you would rather be doing and what you are stuck doing instead.

I’ve been basically a desk bound make-work-project for the last two months on account of dislocating my shoulder. I’ve been able to get out on the road again a couple times in the last week now that I can finally operate a tape measure (seriously, a fucking tape measure...) continuously instead of sporadically, and it’s been soooo nice. Sadly today I’m stuck with more of the former

In her defense, it was a very hot day and we hadn’t seen water for a while. At least she doesn’t budge when I hose her down when coming home

all of the above. The last time I went to highland 23 people left in ambulances. One wrecked on a berm and broke his collar bone. the other dropped off a drop onto his face and probably broke his back/neck/leg/arm.

there is a trail at a local place that goes down hill. there are 3 small jumps and then one with a 10-15 foot gap. I could get the speed to make it but never the courage. I dont know if I have the skill to land it.

This kind of stuff, you want to work your way up to it. Our local free ride area has taken me YEARS to ride a couple of features. One is a gap drop at the start, the other is a ramp drop of maybe 3-4 feet. Both ride smooth but you got to be committed otherwise you get hurt.

i could handle 95% of that. there was one gap jump that I was like NOPE. That looks like an awesome ride tho.
