This slightly wobbly wheel bearing was installed to a boat trailer that was towed in. When the driver noticed the failure he had driven for a solid +500 miles....

I know I’ve already shared one of these in an earlier post, but I just can’t get used to seeing this sort of thing on a 2009 model.

The JB weld one looks like it is literally suggesting that, if the block cracks or otherwise is leaking in these areas (such as in illustration 3 “more often the transmission end”) to clean it up and slap some JB weld over it. That’s fantastic/scary.

Holy shit that 1/2 adapter now explains why I scream and curse during every oil change.
I hate cheap lube techs. I really do.

Just seeing that picture almost made me start screaming and cursing. That shouldn’t even be part of the kit! But then again, I guess the kit is probably for removal, not installation.

IT SHOULDN’T NEED TO BE INCLUDED IN THE KIT!!!!! INSTALL BY HAND!!!!
Whew, that got out of hand. Now that I’ve calmed
down..
I think it might actually be for diesel filters because I think even when they’re torqued properly they get stuck and require a big bar. But then just imagine the kind of shit you need to use when the idiot that installed it didn’t torque it correctly... I broke several of my bosses old tools trying to get the last one off. That’s why I don’t do service work and just do smogs and diagnosis. =]

The trailer wheel bearing in the first one is terrifying! It’s amazing how quickly trailer parts can go to shit. My buddy lost a wheel off his freshly serviced camper this summer. Sheared all five lugs off. Luckily it was a tandem axle camper.
