So, here’s Firth Gear take on cheap sports super cars. They have a BMW Z4, a Mazda RX-8 and a Porsche sad-eye-Boxster.
What would you buy in the US with the equivalent money ($6,600)
I’ll look for German examples up to €5,580. I keep private sellers in the mix as well as high mileage cars. Not real sports cars like the Mercedes CL or CLK or left out from the beginning.
Here is, what i found. Would pick the black and beige Bimmer probably.
Now’s your turn. Create a list, keep it under $6,600 and reveal your favorite.

Firstly that list is hilariously out of date and secondly and more importantly, how on earth is the RX8 ahead of the MX5 and the MR2 when it comes to cheap sports cars? Also the contemporary answer is the S2000.

S2000 for that budget? Show me one right now and I’ll run to the bank to withdraw my cash!

Wowza, that’s surprisingly cheap! Yeah I did - as an ex-owner of an S2000 who sold mine for crazy cheap to get a more practical car I’m now very bitter about that stupid decision I made.
