Or, a 208 for the rest of the world-

Nice! It seems like there’s a military version of just about every aircraft — that one looks pretty menacing, although not that fast.

Think: pickup with big block engine and 4:11 locking differential.

I like the 206 myself. And, of course,

1300 horsepower on the nose of that bad boy. That will get it done—

I love the 206, too, but haven’t flown one. 182 is the biggest thing I’ve flown myself-

I’ve taken the controls of my uncle’s Piper Cherokee a couple of times, but that’s it.
When I die, I want to be remembered as one of the greatest pilots who never flew.

The mil spec version of the Air Tractor has been teased for a few years now, but it’s finally getting its moment in the sun with the USAF’s OA-X program to find a low-cost replacement or complement to the A-10 in low intensity combat. In places like Syria and Afghanistan, there is simply no need for a jet when a turboprop can do the same job as effectively and for much much less money. Although they don’t get the big gun.
This thing looks like it belongs in Mad Max.

It does, doesn’t it?
I would think it would only complement the Warthog without that big GAU-8.

Replace, as in the missions where the A-10 is too much right now.

Ah, I skimmed too quickly - read that as replacing it in the fleet, which is impossible.
Seems like it could be a good option where the A-10 is just overkill.
