Still needs a little fettling, and the rear lights soldering up, but it’s inches away from being done :)

Thanks! I must admit it’s turned out much cooler looking than I’d hoped :) can’t wait to get it on the road, that’s the next thing.

You should have your helmet on, even just for that. Might be erring on the side of over-caution, but it’s a good habit to be in. ATGATT means all the gear, all the time. No exceptions.
Bike looks great, though.
Helmet ratings here if you don’t already have one: https://sharp.dft.gov.uk/helmets/?manufacturer=All&type=1&min-rating=5
Cheapest 5-star is about 60 quid, cheapest 4-star is under £30.

Nah we’ll be fine at these sorts of speeds ;) honestly we’re not really getting above running on foot speed.
Wouldn’t dream of heading out on the road with anything other than full gear though. Proper armoured gloves, fully armoured jacket, kevlar trousers, full face helmet, armoured boots.

“honestly we’re not really getting above running on foot speed.”
Until you do. Maybe you have much better impulse control than me, but it would be really easy to go ‘just a little bit’ faster when you ought to stop and put on protective gear. Which is why you start with all the gear and never make exceptions.
IME riding motorbikes isn’t dangerous in itself, it’s just that it’s so tempting to have fun and so much less fun to ride safely.

We’re a little restricted by the space we have to muck about in. As soon as it’s anywhere near the road we’ll be in full gear don’t worry ;)
