One of my neighbors about 7-8 years ago had one - besides theirs, I can’t say I’ve ever seen another one. Future classic! LOL.

Kid that works in my department has one. He wrecked the hell out of it this weekend. He lost control because his tires are bald, and slid sideways into another car. Driver’s-side is all caved in, airbags went off...it’s a mess. Of course he’s still driving it.

I used to think it was a nice-looking little economy car.

Everyone should visit Detroit once. Even if its just to remind yourself what the Big 3 have made.

I could never imagine buying a new Mk 2 Focus, knowing Ford sold a way better car in Europe. Then on top of that choosing to buy the coupe version.

They look better with the rooftop spoiler.

I noticed my first one about a year ago, there’s three that live in my neighborhood. I like the way they look, too bad there was never a hot version.

My dad has one, bare bones stripper model, manual trans, crank windows, no cruise, all it has is air conditioning and a radio. It’s a good little car, albeit a little boring, even with the manual, but it’s a great cheap commuter and gets good mileage, and for a coupe the back seat has lots of room.

I didn’t know the coupe existed but we did get the CC, Coupe Cabriolet in the U.K. and Europe.

But then again there was a 3 and 5 door hatchback, a saloon, an estate, an MPV as well as the cabriolet so why not a coupe.

One of my neighbors had one as his beater/commuter. He ended up trading it for a same gen 2010ish sedan. He uses the focuses to keep the wear and tear off of his 2016 CLS63 AMG and his wife’s 2017 Lexus RC-F.

I have heard that Detroit is one of those places where you will see all of the odd ball american cars

I think the Mk1 was the same as what you got, not sure about the facelift Mk1 aka Mk1.5. You didn’t get the Mk2 or Mk2.5 we did but you got the Mk3 and Mk3.5.

Pretty much, especially domestic brands. But there is a fair amount of nice new German hardware running around up here as well. Lots of new cars.

The Mk1s are virtually dead where I am, the Mk2s are nearly dead and the Mk3s are still quite common. Cars don’t get a chance to get old in the U.K., a Mk1 can be had for a couple of hundred pounds, Mk2 for about £1,000.

Hell you can still order the 2017 Honda Civic new for £16,000 (£6,000 off) because of the new-new Honda Civic which is £23,000.
