First, doggos. They have it rough around here.
The Impala has this stupid screen that opens with the push of a button, and has a USB port inside. There is a perfectly good USB in the console.

My review? I hate this car more than any car I have driven in a long time. You should not buy one. You should not drive one. If someone tries to give you one, you should respond with swift and blinding violence. It should not have been built, and should be erased from automotive history. It makes me finally understand the appeal of self driving cars. It sucks, and I can’t wait for it to return to Enterprise Monday.

I actually had seat time in the new Impala. I’m sorry it gave you such a hard time, but I genuinely liked it. I’d get an SS before ever looking at an Impala, though.
With that said, that USB port is the dumbest fucking thing I’ve ever seen in my life. It’s also USB-C (at least it appears to be from the photo) so have fun paying a billion dollars for a damn charging cable before you can even use it. Yeah, I know the prices will fall as USB-C takes over, but the now time sucks so bad.

I’ve done validation testing on things like that. I disagree with your dismissive assessment. These things get cycle-tested extensively under seriously harsh conditions.
