Decimal point is missing I think

Nothing from 1984 is worth that much. I know, I was there.

The Sienna in the back would be a better value

This could be the greatest crack pipe of all time. I’m just glad I could be a part of it.

I got my license in 1984, and can confirm. I wanted NOTHING to do with anything built in the last 10+ years at that time. This crap is the reason why.

That’s harsh. There were a few good ones.
The 80s weren’t all tufted mouse fur and pleather.

I love big highway cruisers, but I hate this generation of this platform with a firy passion. Drop a zero off the end of that price, and sell it to some other idiot.

Those are all cool, but I damn sure wouldn’t pay $34 g’s for any of them.

I stand by my statement. But I respect your perspective.

Only way to go was up.

My first two cars were built in 1965 - old cars even for HS kids at that time, but I liked them way better than the malaise cars everyone else was driving.

You mean you didn’t want a lego car? My first ride was a ‘73 olds wagon. Vinyl bench seats FTW

I had a ‘65 Cutlass. Black vinyl buckets. I burned the backs of my thighs a LOT.

Worth it.

Yup- I did get around to uploading Airventure pics yesterday in 2 parts, BTW. The 2nd one apparently went up after everyone (except Pip Pip) went to bed... :/

Cool. I’ll check later.

Horses now, planes later. :)

Funny thing about that. Every time I see that ad I think $3400. I think I may have developed selective vision.
![]() 07/29/2017 at 18:18 |

In my own defense I keep seeing that as $3,400. I’m not sure if I should drink more or less now.
![]() 07/29/2017 at 18:22 |

Ha! Yeah, $3,400 is another thing entirely. This would be a NP at that price, although I personally hate that particular generation of E-bodies.

If alcohol makes you think straight like that, you should consider it a daily routine.

I sometimes think nostalgia is the most important component of automotive design.

No doubt. My mom had a dark blue ‘84 Olds Delta 88 coupe. If I ever find a clean one of those for sale, I’ll snap it up in a heartbeat. We loved that boat!

I learned to,drive in that sedan version.

I never got to drive it. I was 3 when they bought it and 6 when dad got the new car bug and traded it in. I almost bought a rough version about a decade ago, from an old college apartment neighbor for $150. It didn’t have plates and was going to be impounded by the city. The dude’s girlfriend lost her shit on me when she found out, saying I would have to pay $400 or $500. It got impounded the next week. Probably ended up at the crusher.

Funny story about that.
7-30-17 is the day I quit drinking.
Well, not really “funny” in a Ha Ha way. Booze has been slowing me down for a while. Time to step back and make things right .

Well then, my comment isn’t so funny either. Good luck and God bless. Life’s too precious to let things hold us back from living it.
