I found one used for $30; the price on Amazon seems to be in the mid-$200 range. Looks cool, but is it a pain to use/program?

are you sure that’s not a TV remote?

Looks like a strange dildo to me...

What even is that?
If it’s a phone you should just get a smartphone, no reason to run from tech

check to see if you can still download the software. Harmony setup is fairly easy...but I’m not familiar with the model shown.

I’m still using a Harmony One I impulse bought around 8 years ago. Still works fine, but I had to replace the battery last year, as it expanded. These old remotes seem to have weird resale value on ebay and amazon.

I have a 650, but I’m pretty sure the program is the same no matter the model. I thought it was easy to program, you just have to know the model numbers of what you’re going to add.

Major pain to use... the cellular reception was so bad I couldn’t make a single call. And when I complained about it and asked for my money back, they looked at me like I was crazy, refused and called security!!!

I have what I think is the 650 and we had a Harmony Link which we replaced with the Harmony Hub.
The programming was pretty much the same on both of them and they’re simple to use. $40 sounds like a good deal to me.

That’s is the weirdest remote I’ve ever seen. The shape, the LCD, why does s remote need a LCD?

I have one of the cheaper models. It’s a bit of a pain to setup the first time, but well worth it if you have a TV, receiver, DVR, Blu-ray player, gaming console, etc. Especially if you have a baby/kid that likes to mess with every button/knob they can find.

I’ve used an older model and it was very user friendly. Mini USB plugs into your computer to allow you to program it.

The IR is strong and has a good spread from the front of the remote, so you can point in the general direction of things. It’s the next best thing to RF.
Programmability is good, if you don’t mind the Logitech software you’re required to use. It’s gotten better over the years. If your devices need pauses to wait for things to happen, that’s pretty easy to setup so everything works with one touch. If something doesn’t go right, there’s a Help function that causes the remote to try the most common “fixes” like setting the receiver source again, etc.
All your settings for the remote are saved server-side, not on your computer, so if you lose your account credentials you may be setting it up from scratch next time you want to make a change. I had this happen when trying to modify the setup for some friends (different model remote) that had been setup by an “installer.” Write down all your brands and model numbers just in case.

Cool. Thanks for the info. My A/V equipment rack is parallel to my desk but perpendicular to the TV, so the wide IR spread would be quite helpful. I do use software on my phone and computers to keep track of passwords and credentials, so that shouldn’t be an issue.

The batteries like to expend and ruin the remote, call Logitech and ask them nicely for a new one. Slight exaggeration worked for me...
