Picked up some new wheels for the Golf

Finally found the wheels I was looking for and picked them up. Should be on the car next week. They are the wheels off of the retro beetle. Some people might not like the look but I think its awesome. The picture is of someone else with a golf wagon who did it but not me.

I love the look of those. I also liked the old “steel wheels” on the last gen Camaro.

Not a fan. Looks great on the Beetle, note so much there.

Side note, in that colour with those rims it has a hint of “cop” about it. Someone should put them on a Jetta.

Came to the comments to note the cop car vibe to these wheels - that would be the only reason why I would select these.

I think there’s a Facebook group, or was, something about OEM wheels on other cars?

I love mix-and-matching OE stuff. And “steelies”. If I ever were to have a VW I’d go with those as well. Shame they only offered them for a few years IIRC.

State trooper cars in NC are grey . . . but are Dodge Chargers right now, so you would still not achieve the look.

OEM wheels, in my opinion, look better than pretty much any aftermarket wheel designs made these days.

I kind of like it. I would prefer if the black part of the wheels was cream white though. And then the wagon was pearl white with tint and plaid interior. It’d look like a nice throwback.
