I’m flagging your ads. ESPECIALLY if, like these assholes, you then post the same ad 30 times.

It’s like if you were somehow able to rearrange the PGP Keys below the articles (next to the names of the author at the end of their write-up), but you’re an un-creative fuck and didn’t bother to make a readable short story with it.

They used to have them. A PGP fingerprint, just this big wall of text.

Oh, I thought you were talking about me! I was gearing up to be really shitty lol

good work.

But how else will you find the ad for that sweet, sweet Kia Sorento while trying to search for V12 Mercedes-Benz coupes?

When I’m bored I search “Studebaker” and flag every buy here pay here dealer ad that Shows up

I do the same thing.
If I’m searching for a Lincoln Town Car, and this is the reason your fucking 1992 Cavalier 2.2 shows up in my search, I will flag it.
There were sometimes I was searching for my last motorcycle, and “road” and “king” showed up in the ad as genuine text. I would get some different bikes sometimes... like a dual-sport. where they lives on
kings
highway, and state that the bike can be used on the
road
as well. While I’m triggered that a KLR is showing up in a touring bike search, I let it go once it I see it’s unintentional.
Depending on how obnoxious your tagging is, there’s a chance that I might set up a search that looks for your tags and flag your ads for the next few months.
Craigslist app is awesome. It will even notify me when a new one is posted.
In fact, I just searched my local craigslist for “GSXR WRX” and tagged this.

Thank God for the bundle same ads option.

WHERE DO I FIND THIS MAGICAL OPTION?
![]() 07/20/2017 at 07:43 |

I’ve given up searching on CL. My local is small enough that I just press enter, search nothing and see everything that’s new. Only about 100 new adds a day. You get to see all the weird ones for fun, see the good deals, and also see the steals. Got a free Foosball table for my building as well as some free dump truck wheels for my dad, he uses them for spares on the OTR trailers. The spares frequently get stolen.

Even better is when not a single word from the entire wall of text actually relates to the vehicle being sold.
![]() 07/20/2017 at 08:59 |

Every time. Here’s one I just found on a search for ‘bmw wagon’
THIS CRAP is what they’re actually selling:
F-you, I’m flagging you. I mean, they threw in a sample of probably the top 500 things that might be sold on CL, all in a pile of text. It that’s not abuse, I’m not sure what is.

The what?!

For the betterment of craigslist (as it’s unmoderated) and the ability to improve it for anyone who uses it, care to detail how one sets a search to flag these ads?
![]() 07/20/2017 at 12:07 |

The craglist mobile app. You can save whatever search you want, and as an item that fits that critera is posted, you get a notification.
For example: when I was looking for my “Road King” I saved separate searches for “road king” “roadking” “raod king” and “raodking”
Searching for super taggers? That’s tough. I mentioned just searching for one paticular one, which can be easier since they tend to use the same block of tags.

It’s the bundle duplicates option.

I feel stupid, because I’ve noticed it but never used it. That changes now.
![]() 07/20/2017 at 20:05 |

God damn! At least the one I posted was from a salvage yard so it was car related!
![]() 07/21/2017 at 11:10 |
|
Seriously! And all the words were basically car related. There’s a line (that’s copy/pasted twice, in case you weren’t sure how random it was) that has the following words in this order ( emphasis mine):
bayliner honda hoop camping
shotgun perfume toddler
studio bmx ikea leather deck marine 4k vapors triplet bass sidewalk hot tube knife fishing wood metal soft wood mobile art lamp vintage oak
one two three free cheap
It’s like someone wrote a program to capture text from all CL ad titles, then randomly generate strings of those words.
![]() 07/21/2017 at 11:11 |

Why can’t CL just “bundle duplicates” by auto flagging/banning people who post duplicate ads?
![]() 07/21/2017 at 12:08 |

Idk, you’ll have to ask Craigslist themselves!
