Unfortunately glioblastoma is an aggressive brain tumor with a very low chance of survival.
When he was a POW in Vietnam, his Navy admiral father was able to get him released early. He refused because he didn’t want preferential treatment over his fellow POWs. Amid booing from his supporters after Senator Barack Obama was declared the 44th President in 2008, McCain expressed his admiration for Obama and wished him a successful presidency.
Say what you will about the man, but he’s a true American hero. Honorable, tough as nails.

I miss when politicians could be thoughtful statespeople, genuinely respect those they disagreed with, even work with them for the good of the country and their constituents.

He was a great soldier, but I definitely won’t miss him trying to go to war with Iran every year. Also, do people not know that he’s had cancer for about a decade?

That’s very sad. He was always a moderate voice in congress even if I didn’t agree with everything position he held.
