Yup, that’s good no need to fix it, we are parked nice and straight here.

If they’re in the lines I don’t see a problem.

Agreed, thats why its only a passive aggressive annoyance. I still think its stupid to park like that. I would never just leave my car that crooked. It certainly makes it harder for the guy next to him to get out of the spot or even get to the car.

Yeah, I’d never do it either. I just always find it hard to get mad at people parking crooked but legal, or just going the speed limit. It’s a little annoying but they’re within their right to drive as they see fit.

Driving how you see fit is not within your right. I agree speed limits should actually mean something but in reality they do not. People driving the speed limit because its the speed limit do not just get an A-OK. Gotta keep up with the traffic flow, otherwise its dangerous. Sure everyone else should slow down or the speed limit should increase but seeing as that wont happen, the outlier is the guy going “slow”.

In general, its just other people being inconsiderate. Rather than breaking any sort of law. I could care less for laws, I just care about basic decency and common sense.

I’ve been known to just say “fuck it”, so...

Kinja'd!!!

To be fair, this was at like 6 in the morning on a Saturday and I was just running into Timmies to get some breakfast and gtfo

Yeah but you backed in and its straight, so there was some effort involved. Plus nobody is around and its temporary. So carry on! Most people saying “fuck it” would have parked diagonally in the fire lane with the park-anywhere-lights on so you’ve done well.

It used to bother me (unless like I just posted it was first thing in the morning with nobody around) to the point where I’d go back and try again if I was angled or uneven from side to side in the spot.

Then I realized my truck is so narrow it really doesn’t matter one way or another... I have to be on a pretty major angle before I’d affect someone else. Not that I go out of my way to do it, and I still try to get it straight, but if I get out and it was a fail... meh

Haha well yeah I guess I could parallel park my Miata in the spot and still be within the lines.

Maybe driving as they see fit is too broad, that could include people driving backwards or into other cars if they saw fit. I’ll rephrase as they should have a right to follow the law. Now I agree speed limits are too low sometimes (I can think of a few examples of them being too high and too low). But if someone wants to play it safe and go the speed limit why shouldn’t they?

As for the flow of traffic, the speed shouldn’t have anything to do with it. If it’s a single lane they set the flow until passed, anything more than 2 lanes they stay in the right and everyone passes as needed. Of course that comes back to traffic not being perfect and some people just love the left lane. But that’s another issue.

In all fairness, I 100% guarantee you they would have hit that Lexus if they tried to straighten out.

Someone on here explained to me recently that they sometimes use weird limits in private areas because it grabs people’s attention. Like, my parking garage has a speed limit of 7-1/2 MPH.

Yeah, it didn’t occur to me, but when I started thinking about it, I realized that I probably remember the weird limits more than the normal ounces on routes I take often.

It took me months to teach an old roommate how to straighten her wheel when she pulled into parking spots. Biggest minor irritation of my life
