Small world. I just saw this very same truck this morning in South Everett. It was incredible. Lo and behold, I find it on CL for sale. It is sexy but $15,000 is a lot of money for this, even if it is immaculate and obviously well-loved. I think this guy should hang to it for another five years. I have a feeling these could push $20k in this condition within the next decade.

Mmm, those decals though. They gotta be worth at least $5k by themselves

In my early 20's I knew a guy who drove one of these. He was kind of a weirdo, but that Toyota truck was clean, man. I’d totally buy it off him for anything in the reasonable 4 figure range.

Lots of money for no fuel injection? This is ... hard to parse.

Familiarity breeds contempt as far as I’m concerned but then I’m in Oz and there’s plenty to choose from for a quarter of the price. Even then I used to drive these often and there’s no way on Earth I’d dream to own one.

Deduct the price of the stereo “investment” (one would be better off investing in scratch tickets) and make an offer. YOLO or whatever kids say these days.
