*My bad, I got excited and didn’t do the challenge myself first like I usually do. How about we try this again without the soul crushing disappointment?

William Shatner just bought EVERY vehicle you currently own for their original MSRP. Using every penny of that cash, you must create a new to you garage with a limit of 5 vehicles. Let the Rocketman reset your garage and as always, enjoy yo’selves!

Sorry again, even I’m human on the weekends!

Whew, much better. Closer to ~$60-70k.

Edit: maybe not. Neither the RAV4 nor the Matrix break $20k. I’m going to give myself $75k and call it adjusted for inflation....

So without further ado:

Rx-8 with gm lv3 swap (6 cylinder based on ls architecture). Funds allocated: $10k ($3k for good condition rx-8, $2k for engine, $5k for various swapping costs.)

Bus to RV conversion. Call it $15k for this one ($5k for the bus, $10k for conversion costs)

2014 Hyundai Santa Fe for the wife as a “totally not a minivan” purchase. Realistically, $18k by the time we’re out the door on that one.

Actually, thinking about it... I’d just pull my kids out of school and go live overseas for a year or so, then buy similarly aged vehicles when we got back/ran out of money.

Meepster Jeepster: Paid $19,300

MSRP $22,500

Vehicle 1: B6 Passat Wagon - a good one. My wife loved hers. She should get another. With under 100k they’re selling for about $6000

Vehicle 2: 1968 Mercury Cougar - Driver condition cars are going around $8-9000 around here. (Huzer, I’m jealous)

Vehicle 3: F150 crew cab, 2004-08. XLT or Lariat. 2wd. Daily driver. $7500 or so.

4Runner MSRP was $24,458 about 150k miles ago in 1999. Ummmm.... Sure. So an old Miata for a track rat and then I guess a 4th gen 4Runner.

2008 Corolla CE, MSRP call it $17k and a 2016.5 CX-5, MSRP call it $29k gives me $46k to work with. I used autotrader for prices so who knows, but hey Shatner threw money at me right.

Dailies for me and the Mrs.

TSX Sportwagons x2 at about 14k each.

Fun cars, splitting the last 18k between a Miata and a Landcruiser.
