Ever since the last two updates, I have been having problems logging in. Long load times, sometimes have to hit RETRY before it lets me in, and after 20 minutes or so of playing EVERY TIME I get this:
Then this:
Disregard the GPS warning, I get ‘booted’ from the game whether I have signal or not. Mostly when I DO. Usually I am able to log right back in *after a long wait time on the loading screen, but sometimes I have to restart my phone because either the game will get stuck on the “Failed To Log In” screen (the prompt pops back up after hitting retry a million times) or it will load back into a blank map because my phones’s janky GPS gets stuck.
I did manage to finally catch a Lapras this morning that spawned near the Pokestop I visit daily to get the bonus, so that was neat.

I’ve heard of this for android phones. I never read the threads since I’m on iOS but I think it’s usually the older phones

My wife’s iPhone runs the game rock solid, may I add. I do have an older phone, but it was fairly new when PoGo came out so I don’t know... I’m sure as hell not going to get a new phone just for the game.
Well, MAYBE I won’t...

I’ve had the same issue quite a bit lately. I’m on an iPhone and often have to reboot the phone to connect. I missed out on a raid battle today because I was booted and couldn’t log back in.

I’d be PISSED if I played this game even semi-seriously. But even when I’m just farting around and want to click off some k’s on my eggs its a pain in the ass when it won’t connect or drops me for no reason.

Yeah, the only time I play anymore is if I’m running early for work and decide to stop at a nearby park. It has four gyms and one trail has a stop every 100' it seems. Since the raid was close to starting when I arrived I just sat on a bench and waited. I turned in my raid pass and after my first Pokémon was knocked out the error popped up and I got the boot. It even looked like we were going to beat it too if I hadn’t been kicked off.

My GPS absolutely LOVES to drop me just out of range of gyms and stops, and no matter how close I get to the actual spot it won’t move until I’m hundreds of feet past them... or miles down the road after I’ve given up completely.

One of the gyms there is down in a valley and reception is terrible. It’s frustrating if you’re playing but great if you have a Pokémon assigned to the gym. Under the old gym format I had a low level one in that gym for weeks because so many people don’t even try to battle since they assume they’ll get dropped
