I installed these 4 lights on the Pajero when I finally put it back on the road. They replaced 2 rectangular lights and are decently bright, but use 4 100w light bulbs. Amazon currently has a sale on 120w 20in light bars.

2 hours left on the sale. Should I get one?

Note: this was a mock-up, the actual setup is evenly spaced

I kinda like the look of these ones. Wouldn’t 20in (LED?) bars look too modern on it?

Yeah, I think they’ve got a bit of a vintage look about them, fitting with the rest of the car.

I would have to swap the headlights for clear units to match

In my mind the round headlights don’t always work with the rectangular shape of the LED bar. I’ve got a similar bumper on the front of my MJ, and have a pair of 7" bars mounted to it. They don’t look badly out of place, either. But then my headlights and grill are a collection of rectangles which I think helps them blend. It’s in total 72W of LED light, which I feel is way more than I could possibly need, and it’s way not legal to leave them uncovered, but because it blends in I haven’t been hassled.

You might be able to find some LED spots similar to what you already have. Or a couple smaller LED bars just like mine on the bumper just below the headlights might not look bad either. But that’s just a couple suggestions. One other suggestion would be to cut out a piece of cardboard or something the same size and shape as the bar you’re considering, and place it where you’d think it would go, just to get an idea of how the shape plays with the rest of the truck.

I’m of a mind that several smaller lights look better than one big one, but it is more work to mount and wire multiple lights, and it’s definitely a subjective opinion.

Just like our friend the Twingo driver, I have to say that a modern light bar looks way too modern on such a classic vehicle. If you want modern technology while still looking good, why not get those? Probably way more expensive, but if you are spending money on something that isn’t exactly necessary....
