Was at Redmond Exotics today (photodump coming later). A blue R35 GT-R came in. I went over to take some pictures and noticed this badge on the back.

Kinja'd!!!

Apparently this one had been converted to run on ethanol fuel. Neat.

I wouldn’t have put a chevy badge on it but it’s a cool idea to convert a GTR to ethanol

It’s pretty common. The badge is just there to tell everyone it is not stock, and likely is Veyron levels of quick.

Did anyone turn up to meet you there? My wife drove us past there about 40 minutes ago because we had to run a bunch of errands.

I saw AestheticsInMotion’s Miata, but I didn’t see him. I didn’t see RPM’s AMG though.

I have a friend that converted his turbo SC300 to run E85 or gas and also stuck one of those badges on there. Apparently most of the parts he used are GM. It’s all hooked into an AEM controller and dyno’d something like 500 hp on E85 and 400 on premium. I think it’s a fairly common conversion in the import tuning community. Probably less so on GT-R’s but they’re already so boosted that E85 is probably one of the few ways to safely get more power without turning the motor into a grenade.

That’s actually really common on R35s. Many owners have tunes for E85 or pump gas because you can push more power safely on E85

We should really just all meet at a Red Robin some random Saturday or Sunday for lunch or dinner. Would be easier.

This. We’ll do our own meet, none of that “wake up at 7am for a car show” junk

lol isnt that a chevy flexfuel badge? seems a little belowmarket for a GTR. but i guess its better than going to autozone and buying individual letters

I had a contractor scheduled to come over this morning at 8:30, figuring I’d let him in and head over, so of course he didn’t show up until 10:30 and completely shot my morning. I’m sorry I missed it!

This is a very good idea.
