“Do they still make the Element?” No, mum. No they do not.
However, she’s pretty sold on the CR-V, which as per my passenger seat review, is an entirely fine vehicle for people who don’t like driving.

I forgot about that ad. My kids will love it

Why don’t they make the Element anymore? I’m tired of Honda giving up on cars that are interesting. They did it with the CRX, Prelude, and Integra too.

Neither. Too small, apparently.

That matches my drivers seat assessment the last time I drove one, the perils of driving most of a segment are things like the CR-V.

There sure are a lot of them here in Colorado.

oh, not only that, but emissions and safety ratings. those 3 are the main things that kill cars. simple as that.
I think it was more safety and ppl not buying them for honda.
it only sold 325K units over a 11 year period. with the last couple of years being 14 and 11K

For CRV money she might find a Subaru Forester xt.

She doesn’t want a Subaru, for some reason.

We sold our 2015 CR-V with less than 2k on the clock because the seats were awful and literally made my dad’s back go into spasms. Try to upgrade away from the cloth seats

Best Honda ad of all time. I will watch I Pinch for a month straight before I have to hear Happy HondaDays even more more time, if I had the choice.

I love that ad.
Yeah, the CR-V has become the default choice of people who would prefer to not own a car, but they needs a car. And that’s fine, there’s nothing wrong with it.

They were fine enough, but I suppose a half hour drive won’t bring out all those details.

I think a big issue was that it was a total gas hog for something so small. 20/25 with 2WD auto, 19/24 with AWD and I think even worse with the manual. One would expect better especially when the CR-V at the time was doing 21/27 with AWD. I assume they could’ve sorted this, but the brand was probably damaged from the get go.

CX-5

So the Element was almost more like a two-row van... I’m wondering if a Transit Connect or a ProMaster City (although then you’re dealing with FCA) might work.

I think she might hang herself before she drives another van.
Also, doesn’t want to drive a Ford or an FCA product.

CX-5. Better than the CR-V in most ways.
