It didn’t take long for me to get used to it. I picked a good one.
First photo, in the CarMax bay
I left CarMax about 10:30, and headed west on Broad Street (a main road west of Richmond) out to a couple back roads, where I let it get its feet wet a bit. It’s not the main purpose for it, but it is fun to row through the gears in an upmarket sedan. The transmission and clutch feel good and i’m getting used to the electric throttle.
On my way home I stopped by my mom and stepdad’s place. They have matching G37 coupes.
One of these things is not like the others.
I have to go to work now, so I won’t get a chance to take it for an extended drive today. But it looks promising.

My cousin had a 2010 TSX, white, auto. It was pretty fun to drive but too small for my tastes. Could’ve been a bit more refined but it was a nice little thing.

Congratulations. One of my cousins bought his brand new the week it came out. His is the same color and manual too. Instead of replacing it, he just bought a second Acura. I’m sure you’ll love it.

Well done! That’s a good choice. My parents have had an RL for about 15 years now, and my sister had an Integra. So, I have a favorable view of Acuras. Good cars.

It could be worse, I knew a couple that had matching Hyundai Elantras.

Mom: Man, the car we have just doesn’t have as much space as we need. We need more space!
Dad: And room for more people! One G37 isn’t cutting it anymore.
Interstate: Well, you could always-
Mom: Stop! I know what you’re thinking....yes, it’s perfect!
Interstate: Agreed!
Mom and Dad: ANOTHER G37 COUPE!
Interstate: Yea- wait...what?
Mom: 100% more car will fix everything!
Interstate: Guys...they...they make a sedan...
Dad: Does you sedan come with two G37 coupe trunks, smart guy?
Interstate:...

Thanks. It’s all around a good car. It’s bigger than I’m used to, owning nothing but Preludes before, but i’m very quickly adapting to it.

Oh, I love them in white. There was a white 2014 on the lot with a tan interior, but it was out of my price range. It’s actually a little bigger than I’m used to, but I’m adapting to it.

Thanks. It’s been an enjoyable first 50 miles.

I actually don’t mind the beak (only on the TSX...the TL and RDX look awful with it), but I plan on getting a Mugen grille at some point.

I’ve seen a bunch that were painted body color, and it makes it way better. And it’s not as ridiculously awful as the Lexus grill...

Can they actually tell their cars apart? Or do they just unlock it with a fob and go for the one that lights up?
Have they ever mistakenly swapped keys and therefore cars? Would they even know if they did?

One is AWD, one isn’t (the AWD one says G37X on the back). And they both have custom plates. As for the fobs, I’ve never thought to ask.

Yeah, the only way to tell them apart aside from the plates (both custom) is that one is AWD and one isn’t, so the one says G37X instead of just G37.
