My first Japanese one! I’ll submit it to BaT and hope for the best! Reserve price will be noticeably lower than any other classic Mini to sell on BaT and it will include shipping to the US or anywhere else... Hope it goes well!
Hard driving on Mount Rokko soon haha (yeah that’s the main reason I do this :) )
The cool thing: it sounds awesome (even more) thanks to a sick Weber carb that replaces the original SU!
This thing is fun as hell :)
Nice pictures and videos next week or so...

It’s the same as mine, slightly nicer interior and that Weber carb... Anything different with JDM Minis?

I’ve been looking at classic Minis for my wife. Care to share any additional pricing info or drop me a line when it shows up on BaT? That one looks lovely.

From what I recall there where several small differences to the other minis, for example, the JDM mini kept the side mounted radiators when they went to front mounted radiators, which is odd, and I like weird things :)
It could also be had with an air condition, which is nice to have.
You might want to watch out when ordering parts for it

Where are you located? If you’re really interested I don’t mind skipping the BaT sale for this one... I’ll find another one to put there...
I’d be happy with 7k$ shipped for it. If you’re in the US, add an extra 500 to 600$ in port fees, broker fees and taxes...
Then again, my reserve on BaT would be lower than that... It could sell for less and i’d let it go (I use BaT for advertising more than anything... I’ve gotten quite a few customers seeking JDM cars suppliers through auctions there. They were not interested in the car I put on BaT, but they wanted different ones)

I have a 1992 Mini myself (this one is a 1990 model if I recall correctly) and it does have the side mounted radiator too (the car stays in France, I drive it when I get back.... Saves me money on car rental and it’s more fun :) )

The later ones looked like that:
But then again, if the Mayfair is pre-96, it might be similar to the other ones I think.
I would really like a mini to put next to the Bel Air

Oh yeah it’s a 1990 model I think...
As for getting a Mini, just let me know... But you’d have to pick it up in Germany haha. Prices for Mini are cheaper in France (mine is worth like 4000/4500 Euros) but JDM ones are usually much much better maintained and nicer...

I’m in Atlanta, but have family in Seattle, so I could ship there if it dramatically impacted shipping cost. What year is it? I assume it is clear of the 25 year rule.
If you could drop me an email that might be a better place to talk. michael.rennick@gm......

It’s the same price lol (I know, sounds stupid but it is...). I have a customer in Atlanta who can surely help you out with the import process... He bought 4 or 5 cars from me already, and many more to come. I ship his cars to Savannah. It’s midnight here so I’ll drop you an email tomorrow morning :)
I’m sure he’d be interested in shipping the Mini with another car or two on the same Bill of Lading, and picking them up together to save him money on all this (and save you money too at the same time)...
And yes, it’s fully importable in the US. It’s a 1990 model if I recall correctly (in bed now lol, not with the car’s paperwork haha)

That definitely works and I’m interested. Savanah and Charleston are both local ports for vehicle shipments. Looking forward to the email.
