That’s a really nice 50 Ford and that Vette is reasonably priced.

That Ford is calling my name... Just needs to be lowered and it’s perfect.

I don’t like the rubber bumper C3s myself but the price is too damn good...

It’s only Half Rubber Bumper, the rear was still Chrome that year.

Yeah, they changed in 74. My personal favorite would be the 68 with the ignition in the dashboard not on the steering column. Always thought that was cool.

I am astoundingly bored as well. I am the only person on my side of the floor. If my wife didn’t also have to work, I was going to call in.

I’m literally just watching episodes of It’s Always Sunny killing time...

I need to go on “break” and pretend to let the dogs out that I don’t own so at least I get SOME time out of this place.

I’m just getting started with being bored at work, and it’s going to be 12 hours of bored over the next three days! I’m going to actually get a few things accomplished so I don’t feel bad about watching roadkill episodes later.

I’ve got six hours to go (with my “dog walking hour break) and tomorrow and then I am finally off for two days...FINALLY

The only good news is that due to how holiday pay works here I’m going to work 12 hours extra this week and get 24 hours of overtime pay. The tax man will love me this week.

SWEET. I know I am well into overtime which is nice but I very highly doubt I’ll get any thing extra for holiday because I am not important... lol

Here it’s the important people that don’t get holiday overtime pay lol

At my level we’re covered by a union contract which occasionally actually helps us out. Supervisor and above is nonunion and still get holiday pay but it doesn’t count towards overtime

If you don’t mind me asking, what do you do?

I’m one of those damn government workers. I operate a water treatment facility and control the county’s water distribution network.

Hell, come and fix my water.... Ours comes out white milky looking with out my Brita filter.... Yay city punch!

How’s your water pressure? Does it clear if you just let it sit? If the answer is high pressure and/or it clears over time it’s air bubbles in the line.

If not is there grainy residue in your tub? If so you are getting fine particles through the line. It’s harmless unless your supply line is starting to degrade.

Another possibility is water with methane, but that’s only really seen with wells and even then it’s rare.

Water pressure is great, The big issue is it leaves stains on my dishes and glasses. Leaves a white film and I’ve even washed the dishes by hand and it can sometimes leave a white film on them sometimes.

Sounds like either good old hard water or residue from a water softener then. We treat to reduce hardness here, but it’s still fairly hard when it’s sent out. Heck our primary filters are in essence massive Brita filters.

This is why people drink bottled water...even though it’s glorified tap water IMO.

As long as it ain’t going to kill me, I’m fine.

I actually live where my water comes from a different water service. I sometimes fill a jug here to take home because I prefer the water here.

I wonder though, can that water be iffy to shower in (my water)?

If it’s just hard water you’re fine. Call your water service though. You should be able to give them a sample to see if that’s all it is. Sears used to do hardness testing too but not sure if that’s survived all the cuts.

Don’t trust the free sample kits you can get at Home Depot. They go to a company that sells whole house filters. Heck the amount they ask for isn’t enough to do any testing anyway.

Thanks, that’s a good idea. It just...doesn’t look right, ya know.

I was out in the nouveau riche suburbs before I moved back right near the city...so I guess the quality ain’t too great around these parts.

Yeah, they probably had things like all new pipes, facilities that are new and running well below max capacity. Ya know, fancy smancy stuff.

I do like the water we get here, but it’s from a good aquifer which helps. There’s no denying the need for updates though.
