What a beautiful house and property. Just needs a bigger tub. Congratulations on the purchase. I can’t wait to own a nice home.

That’s awesome! Baaaaaaaaaa-d ass even!
Nice decks and woodwork. And the garage/shop is wired-up nicely. (I’m going to assume it’s romex and not-sketchy.)
Congrats.

I wish it were heated, but the garage is pretty excellent otherwise. Totally terror-cited about the whole thing...

Good to see that those sheep won’t be living on the streets, homeless!

62 acres? I guess we know where the next Oppo Jamboree is going to be held!

I love just about everything about this house, except maybe some of the wallpaper, and that’s not too bad either. That view is amazing. Great windows, and the ceiling fan is great for making the most of your heating and cooling. I might say bush hogging all those fields would be a chore, but it you’re doing sheep, that won’t be too much of a problem.

Awesome! I’m jelly of both the garage and (lack of) neighbors.
How long until the dirt track goes in?

Congratulations! Looks great. Though you’ll have to see to that downspout.

Awesome man, congrats. Where is this? Gorgeous.

yeah, we still have to mow, even with the sheep, but we have two tractors and both a 5ft brushhog and a 6ft offset-drum mower (and a round baler)
and yes, some of that wallpaper is a bit much. we’re going to paint at least the kitchen/dining room area to brighten it up and get rid of the busy-blues.

We were getting nervous there for a bit! Buying from FNMA *SUCKS*
![]() 06/30/2017 at 19:56 |

we have a sand pit on the property... it is ALREADY set up as a range ;)
![]() 06/30/2017 at 19:57 |

haha, we’ll see what the sheep have to say...
![]() 06/30/2017 at 19:58 |

the whole roof, actually. We’ve already got two quotes in and are looking for one more before we choose... the whole thing needs redoing.

4 bedrooms, and plenty of room for camping,...

Albany, Vermont. It is really nice, we’re psyched.

We did a roof on our house a couple of years ago. It started leaking, so I called a company owned by a former neighbor. The rep climbed up on the roof in the rain and patched the immediate problem, and came in and said, “You need a roof, and we can get your insurance company to pay for it.” He said that he saw some hail damage, and said there had been a hail storm about 11 months prior. In TX, you have one year to claim hail damage. So the insurance company ended up paying for most of it.

Awesome. Lol

ooooh you lucky bastards! This house was built in 1995, and as far as we can tell it’s the original roof. it just plain needs to be replaced. We’re going to probably be replacing a bunch of sheathing and possibly some rafters on near the north (rightmost) dormer.

I asked the salesman if he keeps track of hail storms and he said, “Absolutely.”

You bought my dream home!
I’m not joking. I want a little more acreage but that’s it.
Congratulations!
![]() 06/30/2017 at 20:48 |

we would have taken a little more acreage ourselves, If it had been available in our budget. We were looking at a property with 96 acres and an 1810 farmhouse in need of major restoration work, but this is a pretty fucking OK compromise.

Not baaaa-d!
ETA: now I see somebody else made this dumb joke already. Whatever, I’m leaving it.

The house makes it for sure. Plus the “garage”? Compromise is good!

Daaaaaaaaaang! Nice buy!

With that natural light you have he opportunity for some excellent cheery space.
![]() 07/01/2017 at 21:54 |

exactly. the dining/kitchen area has the LEAST natural light in the house, and it has the darkest wallpaper :p

I’d be interested in seeing the progress of updates if you ever care to post about them.
