Remember, it’s not pronounced “Porsche”, it’s pronounced “Por-schee”.

I kinda feel like lowering a lot of the weird tall Subies (Foresters/Outbacks) “fixes” them. Not a bad look.

This is what happens when you sniff too much Oppo.
There was 944 running in Mini-Stock. It was n/a. The rules state the engine has to be under 2.5L, 4 cylinders, & carb’d (no bigger the 350cfm), share a wheel base with the street car its based on. It lost to a Neon.

Here’s a car that was recently acquired by someone that I work with. I need to park my NA Miata next to it for a size comparison. This thing is tiny!

IIIIIINTERESTING. I’d love to see how they fit carbs of all things onto a 944 if you ever get an up-close peek under its hood.

Mini-Stocks are neat. Here is the 2017 rule’s for Mini-Stock. It’s too much info for one comment. Correction, fuel injection is allowed, but lots of racers swap in carbs for easier power.

Mini-Stocks are neat. They need all the usual safety stuff. The engine can be bored 0.30 over as long as it stays under 2.5L, stock camber & brakes (expect pads), except on right front tire. The RF can have up to 3 degrees of camber & a bigger brake, FWD or RWD is allowed (no mid-rear or rear engine). Here is the 2017 rule’s for Mini-Stock.

“Por-shoe”?

That’s a common misconception, it’s actually pronounced “Folks-Vagen” or “Folks-Vah-gen” in German.

During the old SCCA double regional weekend at the local track (road course w/ 1/3ish mile oval and a 1/8mile oval inside it), we used to run an exibition race with the Spec Miatas on the big oval during the Saturday night roundy-round program. It was a riot running on the oval 3 or 4 wide in Spec Miatas while under the lights and with folks watching in the grandstands. That was also the closest I ever came to crashing a borrowed a racecar. The oval itself gets boring after about two laps, but running 3 or 4 wide is a hoot.
